Obituary
John Calvin Leonard, 74, of Bossier City, Louisiana, formerly of Augusta, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in Bossier City. He was born December 7, 1940 in Augusta the son of the late Arthur and Bertha (Foshee) Leonard. He was attended the Church of Christ. John was retired from the United States Air Force, where he was an instructor at the flight academy before retiring.
He is survived by his daughters, Linda Cecil and her husband Dale of Dallas, Texas and Doris Woods and her husband Steve of Bossier City, Louisiana; four grandchildren, Joshua Fry, Christil McAllister, Stephanie Merrill, Dustin Woods; 12 great-grandchildren, five siblings, Edith Clavette, Vera Bonner, Donald Leonard, Mary Templeton and Marcy Branch; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Geraldine (Mapps) Leonard.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, 2:30 p.m., at the Augusta Memorial Park Cemetery in Augusta by Powell Funeral Home Bald Knob-Judsonia.
