DEWITT, Arkansas
Roy Charles Goodwin, 86, of DeWitt, died Oct. 29 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born Jan. 1, 1926, in Olena.
He was a disabled American veteran of World War II, retired from the USDA where he was a rice inspector, and a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Doris Sanders Goodwin.
Survivors include sons Johnny Goodwin and his wife, Faye, of Searcy, and Steve Goodwin and his wife, Linda, of DeWitt; one daughter, Dixie Davis and her husband, Mike, of DeWitt; nine grandchildren, Jonathan, Daniel, Andrew, and Brady Goodwin, Alli Goodwin Boone, Jill and Chris Davis and Aaron and Tori Sanders; and seven greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Oct. 31 at Faith Baptist Church with Bro. Donald Lee Ruflin officiating. Memorialscan be made to Faith Baptist Church, P.O. Box 677, De-Witt, AR 72042 or to the American Cancer Society.
