Marshall Ulyess "Pot" Wright Sr,, 82, of DeWitt, died Nov. 4 at his home. He was born June 12, 1928, to Shelton and Pearl Wright. He was a faithful member and elder of The General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn. He retired after 36 years as an auto mechanic. His parents; his wife, Littie Etta Wright; five infants; one son, Calvin Wright; one granddaughter, Destiny; two brothers, Dewey and LeRoy Wright, and one sister, Eunice Mannis, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Nelda Wright; five children, Ulyess Wright Jr. and his wife, Lisa, of Stuttgart, Anita Wright and her husband, David Howard, of Til-lar, Harold Wright and his wife, Carla Jo, Elvin Wright and his wife, Mary, and Timmy Wright and his wife, Whitney, of DeWitt; five stepchildren, LaWana Chapman, Frank Chapman and his wife, TaWana, Donna Molloy and her husband, Dale, of Agra, OK, Dwayne Chapman and his wife, Jennie, of Hastings, NE and Joe Chapman and his wife, Angie, of Montrose, CO; five sisters, Evon Mannis of DeWitt, Lonnie King of Searcy, Tippie Keaton of Almyra, Florence Whaley of Lowell and Georgene Sloate of Hunter; 11 grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Nov. 7 at The General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn with burial in Thompson Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home of DeWitt.
