Leona Virginia Keener, 93, of Atkins, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at Atkins Nursing Home.
She was born in Atkins October 5, 1916, the daughter of R. L., Sr., and Ruthie Alice Lynch Vest. She was a member of the Atkins First Baptist Church for 82 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rayburn Keener; four brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna and husband G.H. Cochran of Atkins, and Wanda Keener of Paris; one brother, Raymond and wife Amy Vest of New Albany, Mississippi; sister, Flora Breckenridge of Sherwood; grandchildren, Randall and Regina Cochran and Debbi and Don Stout, all of Russellville; great-grandchildren, Matt Staggs, Colby Cochran, and Rochelle and Gregg Hamilton; and two great-great-grandchildren, Jayden Hamilton and Barrett Hamilton.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 2, at Atkins First Baptist Church with the Rev. Robbie Jackson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Burial is in Atkins City Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service.
