FAYETTEVILLE — Edward Wayne England, 83, of Fayetteville died Sept. 2, 2007, at his home near Fayetteville. He was born April 14, 1924, in Savoy to Edward Sterling and Edna Catherine Burrow England.

He was a member of the Highland Community Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and participated in the Invasion of Anzio and the Landing on D-Day. He worked as a carpenter and for the Arkansas National Guard, from which he retired after 34 years of service. After retiring, he drove a school bus for the Fayetteville School System and was a volunteer for the Wedington Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing at Clear Creek in Savoy and building furniture.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Wanda Starnes England of the home; two sons, Troy Wayne England and Philip Kevin England, both of Fayetteville; one daughter, Joy Wadeen Chesher of Middlebury, Ind.; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, online at visit www.luginbuel.com. The family will be present from 6 to 7 p.m.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Highland Community Church near Fayetteville with Donald Chesher officiating.

FAYETTEVILLE — Wanda Mae England, 86, resident of Fayetteville, went to be with her Lord on Dec. 20, 2012, in Middlebury, Ind. She was born June 21, 1926, in Fayetteville, the daughter of Jess and Leona Wills Starnes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Wayne England; two brothers, Leonard Starnes and Ray Starnes; and one sister, Maudie Gabbard.

Survivors include two sons, Troy Wayne England and wife, Kathy and Philip Kevin England, both of Fayetteville, Ark.; one daughter, Joy Wadeen Chesher and husband, Don of Middlebury, Ind.; one brother, Raymond Starnes and wife, Marjory of Fayetteville; five grandchildren, Bethany Ann Gourd, Andrew Chesher, Rebekah Troyer; Melanie Alicia Lucas and Troy Daniel England; and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 9-10 a.m. Saturday morning, before the funeral. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday. Dec. 29, 2012, at Luginbuel Chapel with the Rev. Donald Chesher officiating. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery in Savoy.

Pallbearers will be: Philip England, Troy England, Ronald K. Starnes, Andrew Chesher, Troy Daniel England and Greg Gourd.
