ATKINS — Alma Jean “G.G.” Thompson, 82, of Russellville died April 9, 2013, at the Arkansas Hospice of River Valley Home.

She was born Dec. 6, 1930, in Delano, Calif., the daughter of Jessie and Euna Parker Carter. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Doyle and M.L. Carter; and a sister, Odell Carter. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostals of Russellville.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Q. Thompson of Russellville; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Randall Sanders, Paula and Dennis Weaver, Kathie and Phillip Bourne, all of Russellville, and Dixie Jackson of Baton Rouge, La.; two sisters, Vernell Price of Eureka, Calif., and LaVonne Baird of Costa Mesa, Calif.; a brother, Jerry Carter of Portland, Ore.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2013, at Lemley Chapel, with the Rev. Tony Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today.

Pallbearers will be John Sanders, Jeremy Weaver, Matthew Loyd, Charles Bradley, Jason Miller, Steve Clem, Ethan Bittle, Mo Tailounie and Michael Irwin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice of River Valley Home, 220 John Babish Lane, Russellville, AR 72801.
