Mary Ann Morvant Porter, age 78, of Jerusalem, passed away, Saturday, December 11, 2010. She was born March 14, 1932 in New Orleans, Louisiana, a daughter of the late Joseph Morvant and Emelina Seven Morvant Matherne. She was a homemaker, member of Jerusalem Freewill Baptist Church and an honorary member of the Sassy Red Hat Lassies of New Orleans.
Survivors include her husband, Herman Porter of Jerusalem; sons, Joseph Boudreaux of Tylertown, Mississippi and Michael(Donna) Boudreaux of Marrero, Louisiana; daughter, Deborah(Harold) Boudreaux of Harvey, Louisiana; step-daughters, Patricia Porter of Ponchatoula, Louisiana and Francis(Gene) Short of Hammond, Louisiana and a son-in-law, Charles Henning, Sr. of Westwego, Louisiana; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Boudreaux Henning; brothers, Robert Morvant, William, Morvant and a twin brother, Joseph Morvant and a sister, Lena Mae Morvant Falcone.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 15 at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 14 at the funeral home.
