Obituary
Leone Lavergne Beavers, 87, a resident of the Atkins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Atkins, formerly of Appleton, died Friday, January 19, 2007, at the center.

She was born April 8, 1919, in Van Buren County to William Wesley and Minnie "Leaner" Henderson Reynolds. She attended the Welcome Home Free Will Baptist Church at Hector and enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Olan Beavers; a grandson, Tommy Lynn Beavers Jr.; a great grandson, Justin Garrett Beavers; two brothers; and five sisters.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Carole Beavers of Hector and Tom and Pam Beavers of Northlake, Illinois; a daughter and son-in-law, Nelda Curtis Fastenau and Stanley of Willard, Missouri; a sister, Lear Maxine Dean of Appleton; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2007, at the Mt. Vernon Free Will Baptist Church north of Atkins with the Rev. Randell Williams and the Rev. Jamie Burris officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Jerusalem under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.

The visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be Mrs. Beavers' grandsons, Jim Guerrieri, Johnny, Chris, Brian, and Eric Beavers, and a great grandson, Kyle Guerrieri.
