Mrs. Hester Sweeden, 76, of Atkins died Tursday, Aug. 8, at Conway County Memorial Hospital in Morrilton.
She was a lifelong resident of Atkins and was a member of the Bells Chapel United Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late Noah and Etta Dixon.
Survivors include five sons, Ted Sweeden of Alexander, Raymond Sweeden of North Little Rock, Bill Sweeden o Morrilton, Jim Sweeden of Little Rock and Emmett Sweeden of Greenville, MS; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Jean McElroy of Carlsbad, NM; a sister, Mrs. Carl Hurst of OK; 13 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 4 p.m. Saturday at Bells Chapel United Methodist Church by the Rev. I.L. Claud and the Rev. Von Dell Mooney. Burial was in Atkins City Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service.
Pallbearers:
Active - Jim Caldwell, J.B. Moore, Fred Willcut, R.H. Higgens, son Sweeden and Stan Austin.
