Wife of Brown "Butch" Burnett
Lucille Burnett, age 76, a resident of Atkins, died Thursday, April 15, 2004, at her home. She was born June 24, 1927, at Blackwell, Arkansas to Leroy and Rosie Dunn Pope. She was a member of the Union Grove Free Will Baptist Church at Atkins; a member of the EH Club (Home Extension) at Atkins; and enjoyed fishing, crocheting, and quilting. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Brown "Butch" Burnett; her father, Leroy Pope; and her mother, Rosie Pope Milligan.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie & Kendra Burnett of West Fork, Arkansas; a daughter, Melinda Burnett of Atkins; 5 grandchildren, Billy, Jason, and Amanda Gibson all of Atkins, and Bradley and Becky Burnett both of West Fork; 4 great grandchildren, Andrea, Matthew, and Phillip Gibson and Joseph McMinn; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2004, at the Union Grove Free Will Baptist Church at Atkins with Rev. A. E. "Bo" Coffman and Rev. David Bishop officiating. Burial will be in the Atkins City Cemetery at Atkins under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.

Active pallbearers will be Dean Freeman, Billy Gibson, Jason Gibson, Tim Muncy, Bob Burnett, and Jim Burnett. Honorary pallbearers will be Reva Housley, Loyd & Lois Kenner, Robert & Laverne Rainey, and Carlene Freeman.
