Robert Coy May, 83, of Atkins, died January 8, 2009 at Atkins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born February 6, 1925, in Atkins, and was the son of the late Clyde and Ava Barefield May. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Eileen May. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer of the United States Navy and was a mason. He was also retired from The Atkins Pickle Company.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna May Stewart and Barbara Webb both of Fayetteville; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Weldon Woodard; 2 sisters-in-law, Pauline Finnegan and Audrey May; special friend, Iva Price; special nieces and nephew, Danny May, Nancy Parker, Nancy Garrigus; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, January 12, 2009, at Lemley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Robert Norman officiating. Burial will be in Atkins City Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be Troy May, Billy May, Michael May, Jody May, Danny May and Luke May
