Raymond Edward Robbins, 71, a resident of Lowell, died Feb. 24, at Springdale Memorial Hospital.

He was born Nov. 24, 1919 at Lowell to Harvey L. Robbins and Jessie Dell Burch Robbins. He was a retired welder and a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Edna Robbins of the home whom he married on Dec. 25, 1942; two daughters, Carolyn Roughton of Rogers and June Windham of Springdale; two brothers, Garland Robbins of Lowell and Marvin Robbins of Springdale; and two grandchildren.

Service is set for Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel with burial in the Silent Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday Feb. 26 from 4 to 8 p.m at Sisco Chapel.

BENTONVILLE — Edna Oleta Robbins, 90, passed away June 3, 2014, at Highlands Health Care in Bella Vista. Edna was born Sept. 22, 1923, in Spiro, Okla., to parents Charles and Emma (Lane) Wells.

As a young child, Edna came with her parents to Northwest Arkansas and she spent most of her life west of Lowell. She made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as a teenager and was a member of First Baptist Church, Cave Springs.

After her marriage to Raymond Robbins on Dec. 25, 1942, the young couple moved to Wichita, Kan., where they were both employed at Cessna Aircraft during the war. They returned to Lowell, Ark., where they made their permanent home. Edna was a housewife and helped her husband with his TV repair business and his welding business. She enjoyed gardening, raising vegetables and flowers, reading and watching Razorback basketball on TV.

Edna was preceded in death by parents; husband; and sister, Ruth Rickert.

She is survived by daughters, Carolyn (Stephen J.) Roughton of Bella Vista and June (Richard) Windham of Springdale; granddaughter, Rhonda (Jeff) Wood of Rogers; grandson, Matthew Windham of Springdale; great-grandsons, Sr. Airman Ryan Wood of Whiteman AFB, Missouri, Jackson and Bryce Wood of Rogers; a niece, Paula (Steve) Strachan of Lavaca; and a nephew, Kevin Carson of Springdale.

Visitation will be at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale on Friday, June 6, from 5-7 p.m.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 7, at 2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Burial will follow at Silent Grove Cemetery, with Pastor Dan Fagala officiating.

We would like to thank Legacy Village Assisted Living and Highland's Healthcare for their loving care for our mother during the last four years of her life.
