CLARENDON —
Reba “June” Mustin passed from this life on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015 from congestive heart failure. She was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on June 3, 1937 to Ray Harris and Lucy Akeman Harris. She lived in Stuttgart for many years. During those years, she worshipped the Lord in Humphrey with the Church of Christ. She raised four children who adore her. Before she retired, she worked as a home health nurse with the state health department.

She is a most unselfish person. So many times over the years she sacrificed her time, money, and health to take care of others in need. She lived a simple and modest life, but is rich with friends and family that miss her more than they can express. It is hard to find a family in Stuttgart who hasn’t been helped or comforted by her.

In high school, she won several ribbons playing the violin. Recently, her oldest grandson taught her to play the piano. Her hope is that in Heaven she would spend all of her time singing praises to God. Her children hope to one day sing with her again.

She is a happy person who took life as it came and saw the best in others.

Often, she saw more in you than you saw in yourself.

If you really wanted to see her smile, just ask “Nana” about her grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Lucy Harris.

She is survived by her former husband Leonard Mustin of Los Angeles, California; sons, Harold Ray Mustin (Carol Ann) of Montgomery, Alabama, and Andy Lee Mustin (Nikki) of Arlington, Texas; daughters, Luci Anne Best (Lamont) of Jacksonville and Amie Lynn Aycock (Johnathan) of Stuttgart; twin brother, Richard “Jerry” Harris of Cave Junction, Oregon; five grandchildren, Lamont Alexander, Harold Anthony and Nevin Andrew Best of Jacksonville and Johnathan “Braeden” and Lila Olivia Aycock of Stuttgart.

Visitation is at Brown Funeral Home in Clarendon Monday, Jan. 12, from noon to 2 p.m. Funeral is at 2 p.m with Bruce Dabbs and Randy Frazier officiating. She will be placed to rest in Shiloh Cemetery at Clarendon by Brown Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Big John Hale, Heath Mitchell, Mark Butler, D.J. Stichert, Ronnie King and Tom Lynch.

Memorials may be made to Humphrey Church of Christ (Bruce Dabbs) 501-551-8885.
