BENTONVILLE — Geraldine "Gerri" Holley, age 69, of Bentonville, died Aug. 31, 2012, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. She was born in Leachville, Ark., on Oct. 13, 1942, to the late Richard Marion Stroud Sr., and Viola Niswonger Stroud. She retired from Tyson Foods Security in 2001 and was a member of Park Street Baptist Church in Bentonville.
Survivors include her children, Vernon Jones of Rogers, Erma Wise of Rogers, Julia Mapes and husband Ron of Gravette, Dwayne Jones and wife Martha of Tontitown, James Earl Jones and wife Shirley of Bentonville; brothers, Jerry Wayne Stroud of St. Charles, Mo., Odis Stroud of Chicago, Ill.; sister, Mary Ann Stroud of St. Louis, Mo.; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Richard Marion Stroud Jr., Virgil Stroud; a son, Christopher Jones; and a great-grandson.
Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, with services beginning at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Pastor Ron Roughton will officiate and burial will follow in Bentonville Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
