Clarence L. Newberry, 76, of Lincoln died Sunday, March 21, 2004, at his home.
He was born March 26, 1927, in Monroe, Okla., the son of Earl Leonard and Ethel Emma Copland Newberry.
He retired from farming in 1989 and retired from the Physical Plant at the University of Arkansas in February 2003. He was a member of the Lincoln Freewill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, William Leonard "Dubs" Newberry and a brother, Kenneth Ray Newberry.
He is survived by his wife, Freda Newberry; a son, Gary Newberry and his wife Mary of Lincoln; two granddaughters, Rebecca Newberry of Lincoln and Crissy Wood and her husband Kelly of Lincoln; two great-granddaughters, Shyann and Rachel of Lincoln; a brother, Clifford Newberry and his wife, Ina May, of Fayetteville and may other relatives.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 24 at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery near Wheeler.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Moore's Chapel.

Freda Lorene Newberry, 76, of Lincoln died Thursday, May 25, 2006, at her home.
She was born Aug. 9, 1929, in Wheeler, the daughter of William and Martha Frances Faubus Ratliff. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Newberry and a son, W.L. Newberry.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Lincoln Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Gary Newberry and his wife Mary of Lincoln; two sisters, Mamie Ogle and Mildred Greenlee, both of Springdale; two granddaughters, Rebecca Newberry of Woodward, Okla., Crissy Rowe of Lincoln: two great-granddaughters, Shyann and Rachel.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 30 at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville, online at www.mooresfuneralchapel.com. Jack Thompson will officiate.
Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery near Wheeler.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Moore's.
