HARMON — Everett Lee Newby, 62, of Harmon died March 26, 2000, at Harmon. He was born Jan. 30, 1938, in Osage to James and Alma Files Newby.

He was a retired refrigeration engineer for Tyson Foods and an Army veteran. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife., Dora Stacks Newby of the home; two sons, Darwin Newby and Chalen Newby, both of Fayetteville; three brothers, James Newby and Victor Newby, both of Springdale, and Zickle Newby of West Siloam Springs, Okla.; two sisters, Nellie Citrini and Mary Ann Files, both of Moutpelier, Vt.; two grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home in Springdale with the Rev. Stanton Crain and John Newton officiating.

Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bill Sellers, John Phillips, Earnie Harvey, Charles Glass, Lonnie Newby and Jack Easter.

Honorary pallbearers will be Marvin Spencer, James Cantrell, Fred Stamps and Lowell Bradley.

FAYETTEVILLE — Dora Faye Newby, age 68, of Fayetteville, died Dec. 29, 2011, at the Willard Walker Hospice House in Fayetteville.

She was born Oct. 18, 1943, in Fayetteville, Ark., the daughter of Ray and Lottie Ferguson Stacks.

She was of the Baptist faith and had worked in the deli of many stores in this area.

She enjoyed sewing, painting quilt blocks, taking care of her grandson and reading the Bible. She was preceded by her husband, E.L. Newby, in 2000.

Mrs. Newby is survived by two sons, Darwin Newby and Jo Ann of Prairie Grove and Chalen Newby of Fayetteville; one brother, Loyd Stacks of Tyler, Texas; and two grandchildren, Gavin Newby and Demi Jones.

Funeral services will be Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time.

Private burial will be in White Oak Cemetery. There will not be any service at the cemetery.
