SPRINGDALE — Lewis Collins Neal, 82, of Springdale went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014, at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville. He was born March 18, 1932, in Springdale to Henry and Betty Angel Neal.

Lewis served four years in the Air Force. He was very involved with coaching his sons' ball teams and supporting their interests. He retired from Prudential Insurance and later from Springdale Public Schools Transportation Department.

Lewis loved the Lord and was called to ministry at a young age, and pastured nine small country Missionary Baptist churches over the years. He was a member of Cross Church in Springdale.

He was devoted to his family and has left each of them a comforting legacy.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Warren Neal.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Lorene (Lockhart) Neal; two sons, Rick Neal and wife, Diane, of Farmington, Danny Neal and wife, Kathy, of Rogers; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren: and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12, at Cross Church. Interment will be it White Oak Cemetery.

Visitation will be this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home; online guest book at heritageofnwa.com.
