CANE HILL — Charles L. Stacks, 82, a resident of Cane Hill, Ark., passed away Sept. 8, 2011, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born Nov. 17, 1928, in Wheeler, Ark., the son of Ray and Lottie Ferguson Stacks.

Charles served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War in the 936 Artillery Battalion.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Stacks; one son, Dennis Stacks; one brother, Billy Stacks; and two sisters, Mima Glass and Bertha Whitfield.

Survivors include one son, Harold Stacks of Morrow, Ark.; one brother, Loyd Stacks of Tyler, Texas; one sister, Dora Faye Newby of Fayetteville, Ark.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Prairie Grove, Ark.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Ark., with John Latta officiating. Burial will be in the White Oak Cemetery in Savoy, Ark.; there will be no graveside services held at the cemetery.
