CAVE SPRINGS — Chutes Edward Curtis, 84, of Cave Springs died April 27, 2002, at Northwest Medical Center. He was born March 2, 1918, at Healing Springs to Robert Lee and Alice Faye Inlow Curtis. He was president of Curtis Chick Service and White River Poultry. He was a member of AA and he was a Mason. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cave Springs. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sabina Drake Curtis, in 1995.

Survivors include his wife, Eve Taylor Curtis, to whom he was married June 9, 1997; one daughter, Sabina Curtis Ricketts of Fayetteville; two grandchildren, Travis Ricketts of Dayton, Tenn., and Shannon Sue McCarthy of Rogers; four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale with the Rev. Marvin Lloyd officiating. Burial will be in the White Oak Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 92 Sunbridge, Fayetteville, 72703, or to NARTI, 5835 W. Sunset, Springdale, 72762.

Pallbearers will be Lee Marchant, Harvey Ricketts, Jack Chenoweth, David Malone, Les Weir and Rick Brown.

Honorary pallbearers will Sean McCarthy and Travis Ricketts. Arrangements are under the direction of Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.

Sarah Sabina Curtis, 77, of Cave Springs, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 1995, in Cave Springs.

Born July 27, 1918, in Ellis, Kan., the daughter of Albert Y. and Julia E. LaShell Drake, she and her husband, began a poultry service in 1947. She retired from the business in 1992. She was a 1938 graduate of Farmington High School.

Survivors are her husband, Charles "Ed" Curtis of Cave Springs; a daughter, Sue Ricketts of Fayetteville; two sisters, Maurine Drake of Washington, D.C., and Twila Mai Burson of Inola, Okla.; three brothers, Gail Drake of Wheeler, Cecil Drake of Monroe, La., and Donald Drake of Tontitown; and two grandchildren.

Funeral is 2 p.m. Thursday at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale. Burial is in White Oak Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Friends of Hospice, c/o Washington Regional Medical Center Foundation, 4209 Frontage Road, Fayetteville 72703.
