Gentry — Earl James Alcorn, 76, of Gentry, died June 27 at Siloam Springs hospital. Born Mar. 31, 1896 at Savanna, Ill. he was a retired contractor and engineer, a veteran of World War I, and member of the Highfill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Faye Alcorn, of the home; a daughter Mrs. Lavonne King of Moline, Ill, and one grandchild.

Funeral service will he at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Highfill Baptist Church with burial in White Oak Cemetery under direction of Wasson Funeral Service.

Fay L. Alcorn, 90, of Highfill, died Thursday, Feb. 21, at Siloam Springs.

Born Sent. 14, 1900, at Ellis, Kan., to William LaShell and Sabina Perry LaShell, she was a homemaker and a long-time Highfill resident. She was affiliated with the Highfill Baptist Church. Her husband, Earl Alcorn, died in 1972.

Survivors are a daughter, Lavonne King of Moline, Ill.; a granddaughter, Jill King of Oak Forest, Ill.; a sister, Eva Andrews of Siloam Springs, Ark.; and two nephews, L.D. Andrews of Gentry and Evert Andrews of Siloam Springs.

Funeral was Saturday at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs, with the Rev. Bruce Holland officiating. Burial was in White Oak Cemetery in Washington County. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home.
