Robert Oran Wyatt son of Charles Wilson "Charlie" Wyatt and Willie (Hammond) Wyatt. Hazel (Porterfield) Wyatt daughter of David Porterfield and Altie Anderson Porterfield. Robert was born in Izard County and died Calico Rock, Izard County, Arkansas.

Hazel Wyatt of Calico Rock, Arkansas
Hazel Wyatt, daughter of the late David and Altie Anderson Porterfield was born January 3, 1921 near Wild Cherry, Arkansas. She departed this life February 17, 2015 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 94 years, 1 month and 14 days.

She was united in marriage to Robert Oran Wyatt on May 14, 1939 and to this union two sons were born. Hazel spent her life as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grand mother, great-great-grandmother, mother-in-law, homemaker and friend. She was of the Methodist faith and truly believed that it was “better to give than to receive.” She loved her family and never complained no matter what hardship came her way. She will be dearly missed.

Hazel retired from the Calico Rock Medical Center where she worked in housekeeping. She also cleaned First Baptist Church, Presbyterian Church, Dale Hudson Dental Office and Lane Dental Office. When she was able, she loved cooking for her family. She was especially good at making pies, chicken and dressing, pinto beans, strawberry and grape jelly.

Hazel is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Weldon and Wilma Wyatt of Calico Rock, Arkansas, daughter-in-law, June Wyatt of Pineville, Arkansas, three grandsons, David Wyatt of Yellville, Darren Wyatt of Calico Rock, and Kevin Wyatt of Pineville; 8 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren; one brother Dolan Porterfield of Republic, Missouri and a host of other relatives and many good friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Jerald Wyatt, four sisters and three brothers.

Funeral service will be Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with Wayne Woods officiating.

Burial will be at Trimble Campground Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Visitation will be Saturday, February 21 from 12 - 2 p.m.

Pallbearers: Kevin Waytt, Bill Porterfield, Gary Roberts, Lee Cowgill, David Cowgill and Jerry Porterfield.

Honorary Pallbearers: Eugene Sullins, David Wayatt and Darren Wyatt.
