EUREKA SPRINGS — James "Jim" Noury, 85, of Eureka Springs died Oct. 29, 2008, at his home. He was born Oct. 28, 1923, in Jacksonville, Fla., to Nestor and Anna Mae Allen Noury.

He was a Marine veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Lions Club and a Hodar in the ASDAR. He was a Catholic. He married Margaret Willour on Nov. 24, 1944.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Ann Watts.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret of the home; his son, Master Sgt. James Noury of Kansas; his daughter, Frances Allen Noury of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; the mother of four of his grandchildren, Mary Harris Noury.

A rosary will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Nelson Funeral Service in Eureka Springs.

A memorial service will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Eureka Springs with the Rev. Thomas Arackel officiating.

EUREKA SPRINGS — Margaret Fay (Willour) Noury, a resident of Eureka Spring's, Ark., was born Aug. 7, 1925, in McAlester, Okla., a daughter of Dr. Leonard Scott and Mary Lavalette (Holmes) Willour.

She departed this life in Fayetteville, Ark., on Feb. 22, 2011, at the age 85.

Retired from Drewry, Regier, and Stockard Medical Office in Lawton, Okla., she moved to Eureka Springs, Ark., in 1985. She was an active parishioner of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, past-president of the Altar Society in Duncan (1959) and Lawton, Okla, (1968); and a longstanding member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Duncan and Lawton, Olda.; past-regent of the NSDAR Abendachone Chapter of Eureka Springs.

On Nov. 24, 1944, in McAlester, Okla., she was united in marriage with James J. Noury, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents: one sister, Mary Scott (Willour) Herwagen; and daughter, Mary Ann (Noury) Watts.

She is survived by two children, daughter Frances Allen (Noury) Johnson, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; son James Scott Noury and wife, Valorie, of Paxico, Kan.; five grandchildren, Alicia Ann Johnson, Eric Julian Noury, Elizabeth Scott (Noury) Breedlove and her husband, Lucas Breedlove, James Christian Noury and Alexander Leonard Noury; two great-grandchildren, Korbin Tobias (Carrier) Breedlove and Kohen Alexander-Scott Breedlove; the mother of four of her grandchildren, Mary (Harris) Noury; and a host of friends.

A Rosary/Memorial Service will be 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 30 Crescent Drive, Eureka Springs, Ark. Funeral Mass will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at St Elizabeth Church.

Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Nelsen Funeral Service.
