BIRD, Stoner - On Monday evening, Aug. 30, David Bird sent his little 8 year old boy, Stoner, to drive a horse to the lot to water. Getting near the horse the animal kicked him in the forehead, inflicting a serious wound, cutting through the external table of the frontal bone and reaching from the eye brow to the hair of the head. Dr. Sewell thinks that with proper attention he may recover. LATER: The son of Dave Bird who was kicked by a horse last Monday evening died Thursday morning. The Journal-Advance extends its sympathy to the family.
