GRAVETTE — Armond Earl Farley, 59, of Gravette, Ark., died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at his home in Gravette. He was born on Feb. 22, 1951, in Harlem, Ky., to Armond Farley and Mattie Michael Farley.
He was a combat engineer trainer, part of the 7th Calvary and part of the Armored Engineer Division of the United States Army. He served his country for 9 1/2 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Armond Farley; his mother, Mattie Farley; one sister, Deborah Collins; and one grandson, James 0. Russell.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Barbara A. Farley of Gravette. Ark.; two daughters, Stephanie A. Jenkins of Gravette, Ark., Nancy M. Raines of Ellington, Mo.; two sisters, Diana Harris of Arizona and Patricia Farley of Kentucky; five grandchildren; and lots of wonderful family and friends.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, at the Mount Pleasant Church in Hiwasse, Ark.
Burial will he in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd, Bella Vista, Ark.
