Mrs. Ophelia McKaskle Garrett, 89, of the Bono community, died Tuesday (July 31, 2001) at Conway Regional Medical Center.

Born Feb. 17, 1912, at Mallettown, daughter of Andrew J. Lockhart and Lois V. Mallett, she was a homemaker and a member of Mallettown United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by a son, Keith McKaskle.

Survivors are a son, Sam McKaskle of Conway; three granddaughters, Sheila McKaskle Beene of Mount Vernon, Sherry McKaskle Wells of Harrison and Lydia McKaskle deSambourg of Chalmette, La.; four stepgrandchildren, Lynssy Taliaferro, Haley Taliaferro, Bo Taliaferro and Mandy Taliaferro; and six grandchildren, Clay Blake, Matt Beene, Stephanie Beene, Holly deSambourg, Heidi deSambourg and Hannah deSambourg.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with the Rev. Judge Coker and the Rev. Dana Thomason officiating. Burial will be in Mallettown Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be David Wells, Mark Beene, Andy McNeil, Henry Hargis, Wayne Dammann and Gary Mallett. Honorary pallbearers will be Clay Blake, Matt Beene, Mike Keys, Glen Keys, Charles deSambourg and Bo Taliaferro.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Mallettown United Methodist Church.
