CLAYTON, Ollie - Miss Ollie Clayton was born in Texas March 12, 1888 and departed this life February 15th at 7:30 a.m. in Rogers. She has been afflicted for some ten years. She was converted some three years ago and united with the First Christian church. She remained faithful until death claimed her. She bore her afflictions cheerfully and would talk with her Master. She leaves to mourn her loss a mother, a sister and six brothers. Only the sister was by her side when she died. She leaves also a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted Sunday evening at 4 o'clock at the Rogers cemetery by Rev. J.W. Crichlow of the Central M.E. church. Callison Undertaking Co. was in charge of the body and both rendered fine service. The remains were laid to rest in Rogers cemetery.

Ollie Clayton, who had suffered with tuberculosis for a period of ten years. died Sunday in Rogers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Burdick where she had been cared for. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon and interment made in the Rogers cemetery. The tubercular patient had been absolutely helpless for several years but had borne her suffering patiently.
