Mrs. Mary Ethel Harris Crow, 81, of Anderson, Missouri departed this life on Monday morning, September 12, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Anderson, Missouri after a recent decline in health.
Mary entered this life on January 8, 1930 in Gaffney, South Carolina born to the union of the late Marcus and Georgia (Cashien) Carroll. She resided in Gaffney until moving to Kansas City, Missouri in 1960 and in 1968 she moved to Gentry, Arkansas. Mary has lived in Anderson, Missouri since 2007. Throughout her life she was a home healthcare giver. She enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, gardening, crocheting and craft projects.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, George Augustine Harris, Sr. and Jack Crow; three children, Joseph Harris, Lane Underwood and Leona Taylor; a grandson, Hunter Garrett; two brothers, Graham and Leonard Carroll; and a sister, Ruth Burton.
Mary is survived by a son, George Augustine Harris, Jr. of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; thirteen great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Crow are 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 15, 2011 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastor Buddy Pease officiating. Burial will follow in the Rogers Cemetery in Rogers, Arkansas. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are David Garrett, Harold Cervantes, Marvin Ray Gillming, Dwight Underwood, Jr., Josh Chambers, Connor Underwood and Cooper Lowery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. On-line condolences may be sent to the family through our website www.ozarkfuneralhome.com.
