Claude I. Easterling, 74, of Route 4, Bentonville, died Thursday at Bates Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 28, 1907, at Fordyce. He was a retired farmer who had lived in the area 38 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Pea Ridge.
He is survived by his wife, Cloretta, of the home; three sons, Mark Easterling, Pea Ridge, Phil Easterling, Rogers, Rex Easterling, Rogers; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Earl Easterling, Clarendon, Texas, Fred Easterling, Farmington, N.M., J.T. Easterling, Beaumont Calif.; two sisters, Virgie Jordan, Friona, Texas, Sue Morrow, Dallas, Texas.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pea Ridge First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Holmes officiating. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery, under the direction of Sisco Funeral Home Pea Ridge.
