Mrs. Lillie Bell HARCROW, 70, widow of the late James David Harcrow and a
resident of Eagle Mills for the past eight years, died at 6:00 p.m. at the local
hospital where she had been a patient since Tuesday. Mrs. Harcrow was born
March 18, 1888, in Calhoun County and lived at Locust Bayou before moving to
Eagle Mills. Mrs. Harcrow was a member of the Camark Assembly of God Church,
and rearing her large family was her hobby. Mrs. Harcrow is survived by nine
sons: "Buck" Harcrow, Woodrow Harcrow and John Harcrow of Camden; Elbert
Harcrow, Aubrey Harcrow and R.C. Harcrow of Eagle Mills; Leroy "Buddy" Harcrow
of Sparkman and A.J. Harcrow and Gerald Harcrow of Houston, Texas; five
daughters: Mrs. Ray Whitten and Mrs. John Coke of Camden; Mrs. Elbert Ellis of
Malvern, Mrs. Leo Broach of Eagle Mills, and Mrs. Jessie Latham of Strong. She
is also survived by two brothers, Mr. Joe Coppett of Camden and Mr. Cleve
Coppett of Oak Grove, La., and one sister Mrs. Britt Dickinson of Taylor, 27
grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Harcrow will
be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Faustina Church near Harrell, the Rev. Jewel
Murray and Rev. Jimmy Walker, pastor of Camark Assembly of God Church,
officiating. Burial will be in the Faustina Cemetery, arrangements by Forbis
Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jimmie Clanton, Pete Clifford, Ray Walker,
Leonard Word, Clifton Rogers and Walter Walker.
