SPRINGDALE — Frankia Treat, age 68, of Springdale passed away Sept. 23, 2012, at Earlene Howard Hospice House in Springdale, Ark. She was born Nov. 2, 1943, in Zach, Ark. She was the daughter of Albert and Grace Horton Still.

Mrs. Treat is survived by her husband, Lonnie Treat of the home; children, Joey Treat and wife, Patricia, Mason Treat, Londa Wells and husband, Dennis, all of Springdale, Ark.; one sister, Anita Marlin of Springdale, Ark.; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Treat was a member of Calvary Freewill Baptist Church in Springdale, Ark. She was a hairdresser by profession. She enjoyed music and was a songwriter and singer. She recorded with Buck Owens and Capitol Records. She had also recorded with Silver Dollar Records in England.

Visitation will be today, Sept. 25, 2012, from 5-7 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at 2 p.m., Calvary Freewill Baptist Church, 1000 N. Gutensobn, Springdale, Ark., with the Rev. Clark Snow and the Rev. Tollie Butterfield, officiating under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be at Elm Springs Cemetery.
