Samuel A. Garrett, 64, of Sparkman died Monday at a Camden nursing home. Funeral services were to have been held at 2 p.m. today at Manning Baptist Church. Burial was to have been in DeLamar Cemetery near Manning under the direction of Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce. He was a school bus mechanic for the Sparkman school system. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lucille Key Garrett of Sparkman; a daughter, Mrs. Glen Reynolds of Camden; a son, Sammy Dale Garrett of Sparkman; four sisters, Miss Vertie Mae Garrett of Sparkman, Mrs. Euvis Lea of El Dorado, Mrs. Drue Edwards of Mt. Ida and Mrs. Opal Craig of Florida and five grandchildren. (Camden News - February 16, 1977)
