Kenneth G. Finch, 94, of Greenbrier, passed away Friday, April 16, 2010. Born in St. Paul, MN, he was a son to the late George F. and Dorothy Westerveldt Finch.
Kenneth was a loving husband, father and grandfather, a Navy veteran of WWII and a member of Crosspoint Baptist Church of Greenbrier. Kenneth had worked for the St. Paul Police Dept., Chicago Northwestern Railroad and Virco, but is probably best known as the owner/operator of "Last Stop Fix-It" in Damascus, where he repaired CB radios. He was a former Fire Chief for the Damascus Fire Dept., a HAM radio operator and member of ARRL, and a member of the Model Railroad Club.
A daughter, Barbara McCoy Dempsey, grandson, Noah Cunningham and two sisters also preceded him death.
Those left to mourn his passing are his wife of 73 years, Euna B. Hoagland Finch; sons; Terrance Finch and wife Judith of Rochester, MN and Gary Finch and wife Shawn of Greenbrier, AR; daughters; Sandra Conrad-McKim and husband Hurshel of Conway, AR, Donna Petroske and husband Leo of Big Lake, MN, Wanda Cunningham and husband Earl of Redvers, Saskatchewan, Canada, and Laura Finch-Moore and husband Bobby of Jacksonville, AR; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lottie Moon International Missions Board.
A gathering of remembrance will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20 at Crosspoint Baptist Church.
Cremation arrangements are by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier.
