Wayne Martin Bryant Sr. of Conway, Arkansas died Wednesday, July 3, 2013. He was born December 24, 1940 to Ruby (Bryant) Hill and Fred W. Hill of Humphrey, AR. He was adopted by his natural grandparents Murry Bryant and Lorene (Stone) Bryant. He is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, one sister and his oldest son, Wayne Martin (Marty) Bryant Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Wanda (McGhee) Bryant, daughters: Patricia K. Devlin of Smiths Station, AL and Stacey Gallahar of Conway, AR and two sons: Jon Bryant of Conway, AR and Tim Bryant of Rockwall, TX. There are 3 grandsons and 5 granddaughters.
A plumber by trade, Wayne worked for Cotton Belt Railroad for 20 years as a pipe fitter. He loved hunting and fishing with his sons and tinkering with small engines. There was almost nothing he could not fix. Wayne had a quick wit, and easy smile. A life-long member of the Church of Christ, he attended Robinson and Center Church of Christ in Conway, AR. His faith and love was the strength of his family and an example to all.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, AR with Lanny Ashlock and Steve Norris presiding. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
