Mrs. Luella (Dowda) Hackworth, 61-year-old resident of Gravette, Ark., died at her residence Tuesday, February 27.
She was born July 7, 1917 at Mountain Park, Okla., the daughter of Oscar and Maggie (Clark) Dowda and had been a resident of Gravette since July 1978, moving there from Decatur, Ark.
Mrs. Hackworth was a housewife and a member of the First Baptist Church, Decatur, Ark.
Survivors include her husband, G.W. "Jack" Hackworth of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Rainer of Woodsborough, Maryland; one son, Garret Hackworth of Crossett, Ark.; two sisters, Mrs. T Lee of Phoenix, Ariz. and Mrs. Virginia Knauer of San Francisco, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 3, at the Falling Springs Church near Decatur, with the Rev. Wayne McKenzie officiating.
Burial was in the Falling Springs Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Wasson Funeral Home.
