HUFF, Manilla PARRIS - Manilla Parris was born March 15, 1870 to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Parris at Konkeytown, Vermilion County, Illinois. She was the youngest of twelve children, all of whom are gone except the youngest brother, Aron Parris of this city. When she was nine years old her parents moved to Arkansas. They settled on a farm near Stony Point where she grew to womanhood. October 23, 1900 she married William Andrew Huff. They had four children, one, Ina Maud, died in infancy. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband and three children, Mrs. Jess Wilson, James and Hubert, and a host of friends. She joined the church in her girlhood and has always lived an earnest Christian life. She has been a ministering angel to the sick and afflicted, many of whom live to mourn her loss. She passed away at her home on North Ninth street at 8:45 Tuesday morning, the 20th of December 1927. All of her family were with her at the end. Services were held at the house Wednesday at one o'clock, Mrs. Meyers officiating. Burial was in the City cemetery in charge of Mr. Bryant.
