Ruth King, 81, of Conway passed away on Friday, July 30, 2010. She was born on Saturday, September 29, 1928 in Bee Branch, Arkansas to the late Ellis Thurman and Edith Melinda (Scott) Kersey.
Ruth was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. She was an animal lover especially her pet JoJo, her two Grandogs, and her two Grancats. She graduated from Southside High School as Valedictorian of her class. She retired from Conway Human Development Center as a Shift Coordinator after twenty-three years of service.
She is survived by her Son, Roy and Michele King; Daughter, Kathy Sigler; four grandchildren, Vanessa and Richard Lynch, Michael and Sarah Sigler, Matthew King, and Michael Runfola; four Great-Grandchildren, Morgan Mitchell, Reagan Mitchell, Logan Mitchell, and Leighton Grace Lynch; and a sister-in-law, Jerita Kersey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a Brother, Edwin Kersey.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway with Reverend Steve McMillan officiating. Entombment will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Eddie Kersey, Ricky Kersey, Albert “Junior” Kersey, Charles Scott, Bill King, and Jim Ulmer, serving as Pallbearers. Danny Holt, Shane Mason, Jean Spotts, and Richard Lynch will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Monday, August 2, 2010.
