Dalton Russell Chafton, age 8, of Conway, died Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Arkansas Children's Hospital, following a brief and sudden illness.
Dalton was born Feb. 25, 2004, in Conway, to David and Barbara Anne (Painter) Chafton.
He is also survived by his brother, whom he adored, Dillon Robert Chafton; his grandparents, Betty Anderson, Martha Chase, and Bob Painter.
Other survivors are his aunts and uncles, Charlie Chafton III, Margie Chafton, Carol Lopez, Bonnie Smith, Pam Chafton, Susan Zook, Sherry Gipson, Amy Edlich, Jeremiah Hall; and many cousins on both sides of his family.
He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Charlie D. Chafton.

At the family's request, services will be private.
Local arrangements are by Griffin Leggett Conway.
The family would like to say how much they appreciate the care and love that has been shown to them over the past few days.
