FARMINGTON — The Rev. Hurshel Raymond Lessig, 76, of Farmington died March 22, 2008, in Springdale. He was born June 13, 1931, in Lakeland, Fla., to Hurshel Raymond and Laura List Lessig.

He was a retired Baptist minister, having served as pastor at First Baptist Church in Emmet, New Bethel Baptist Church in Conway, and First Baptist Church of Weddington Woods in Fayetteville. He was a member of Sunrise Baptist Fellowship and was an Air Force veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Yvonne Lessig; one son, Garold Noel Lessig of Conway; two daughters, Laura Gwynn Lucier of Fayetteville, Lou Ann Grummer of Farmington; one sister, Jeannie Huffman of Union City, Ind.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home, www.nelsonberna.com.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Charlie Brown, the Rev. David Johnson, and the Rev. Robert Paulk officiating.

Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.

FAYETTEVILLE — Sylvia Yvonne Lessig Worley, 78, of Fayetteville died Wednesday, April 30, 2014, in Fayetteville. She was born Sept. 2, 1935, in McKamie, Ark., the daughter of Jesse Noel Hastey and Emma Lou Roton Hastey.

She was a member of Farmington Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, Hurshel Raymond Lessig Jr.; a sister; and a brother.

Survivors include her husband, Conley Worley of the home; two daughters, Laura Gwynn Lucier and her husband, Paul, of Fayetteville, Lou Ann Grummer and her husband, Robert, of Farmington; son, Garold Noel Lessig and his wife, Michelle, of Conway, Ark.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. till service time at 11 a.m. at Farmington Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Farmington Baptist Church, with the Rev. Preston Beeks officiating.
