BENTONVILLE — Karen Allyce Lowery, 57, of Bentonville, Ark., passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014, at her home following a short illness. She was born Nov. 19, 1956, in Corpus Christi, Texas, the daughter of Floyd Morris McNutt and Thurena Holley.

She was a lifelong resident of Northwest Arkansas. She was an auditor for many years and enjoyed traveling extensively. Karen was an amazing cook and loved sharing it with her friends. Karen loved her family and especially loved spending time with her grandson, Xain. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Bentonville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her nephew, Jamie Hicks.

Karen leaves behind one son, John Webster Lowery of Bentonville; one sister, Debra Britt of Bolivar, Mo.; one niece, Nancy Delmont and her husband, Rodney, of Halfway, Mo.; one grandson, Xain Webster Lowery of Bentonville; one uncle, Wayne Holley and his wife, Helen, of Elk City, Okla.; one great-aunt, Jo Stewart of Bethany. Okla.; two great-nephews, Brandon and Blake; two great-nieces, Marrah and Madison; and numerous cousins.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 1, 2014, from 10 a.m. until noon at Epting Funeral Home of Bentonville.

Funeral service will be Sunday, June 1, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Bentonville Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
