FAYETTEVILLE — Charles Edward Muncy, 74, of Fayetteville died May 14, 2002, at his home. He was born Aug. 8, 1927, in Wilmer to Amos Felts and Nora Ethel Haley Muncy. He was former owner of Gregory's Mens Wear and was a member of University Baptist Church for 37 years. He served in the U.S Coast Guard.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Muncy, to whom he was married 55 years; four daughters, Karen Muncy of Fayetteville, Susan Long of Cambridge, Md., LeeAnn Lawson and Julie Shackelford, both of Fayetteville; one brother, Hilliard Muncy of Denton, Texas; two sisters, Mary Summers of Dallas, Texas, and Martha Talbot of Shreveport, La.; five grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at University Baptist Church with Dr. H.D. McCarty officiating.

Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens under the direction of Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to University Baptist Church 2nd Mile Ministry, 315 W. Maple St., Fayetteville, 72701.
