Hazel Carmen Tharpe, 81, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, May 3, 1995, at West Fork. She was born Dec. 15, 1913, at Ellijay, Ga., the daughter of Byron Alphonso and Sally Alma Holt Martin, she was a homemaker and a member of the Windsor Park Baptist Church in Fort Smith.
She is survived by a daughter, Jackie Baker of West Fork; seven grandchildren, Debi Barnes of Fayetteville, Cheri Bryant of West Fork, Steve Jones of Greenland, Marty Jones of Springdale, Yvonne Little of Owasso, Okla., Scott Baker and Bill Baker, both of the home; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 6, at Moore's Chapel with the Rev. Ervin Hutchins officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 7 p.m. at Moore's Chapel.
