FAYETTEVILLE - Janette C. Jones Morriss, 72, of Fayetteville, died Nov. 21, 2010, at her home. She was born Aug. 10, 1938, in Fayetteville to George M. Jones and Garnette Osborne Jones. She was a 1956 graduate of Springdale High School.
During her 40 years in the real estate profession, she was associated with several agencies before becoming broker-owner of Century 21 Beacon Realty in Springdale. At the time of her death, she was broker for Fine Line Brokers of Springdale. She was a past president of the Springdale Board of Realtors.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Kay Riddle; and a daughter, Laney Morriss.
Survivors include a son, Trey Morriss and wife, Melody, of Maumelle; a daughter, Shana Clark and husband, Anthony, of Springdale; two brothers, Roger Jones of Pottsville and George Jones of Okinawa, Japan; five grandchildren, Adam, Matthew and Hannah Morriss of Maumelle and Dakota and Peyton Downum of Springdale; and Jim Morriss of Fayetteville.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Sisco Chapel of Springdale, followed by funeral service at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Suzanne Stoner officiating. Private burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens at Fayetteville.
