PINEVILLE, Mo. — Howard E. Zimmerle, 85, died Feb. 17, 2012, at Circle of Life in Springdale. He was born May 7, 1926, in Olney, Ill., to the late Walter E. and Martha (Gardner) Zimmerle.
Howard attended the House of God in Rogers, enjoyed visiting nursing homes and music, especially the steel guitar. He was a government inspector for the USDA for many years.
He is survived by his sons, Frank Zimmerle of Illinois, Tommy Johnson of Oklahoma, Trent Johnson of Bentonville, and Darren Zimmerle of Missouri; daughters Lisa Palmer of Illinois, Sue Drymon and Martha Sheller, both of Missouri. He has 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Howard is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda (Cope) Zimmerle, son Charles Johnson, five brothers and two sisters.
The funeral will be Tuesday, Feb. 21, at 11 a.m in Rollins Funeral Home Chapel with the burial to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Hiwasse, Ark. Visitation will be today from 5 until 7 p.m. Online condolences can be made at www.rollinsfuneral.com.

PINEVILLE, Mo. — Wanda Ellen Zimmerle, 79, of Pineville died March 6. 2009, at Northwest Medical Center-Bentonvlle. She was born on April 30, 1929, in Pineville to Virgil Emery Cope and Ida Elizabeth Hansen Cope. She was a member of the Kingdom of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Charles Emery Johnson; a brother, James Henry Cope; sisters, Willie Udine Carl, Tressie Mae Odle, and Florence Virginia Blevens.
She is survived by her husband, Howard Eugene Zimmerle, of the home; four sons, Tommy Elbert Johnson and wife Erma Jean of Sapulpa, Okla.; Jimmy Trent Johnson and wife Sheila of Bentonville, Howard Franklin Zimmerle and wife JoAnn of Joliet, Ill., Darren Lyle Zimmerle and wife Mary Anne Rose of St. Charles, Mo.; three daughters, Dorthea Sue Dryman and husband Ron of Pineville, Lisa Elaine Palmer of Peoria, Ill., Martha Cecelia Schuler of St. Louis; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bella Vista Funeral Home with Pastors Jamie Cope and Lisa Schroder officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bella Vista Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
