COLORADO CITY, Texas — Ruth Pilcher, 88, died Sept. 18, 2008, at Kristi Lee Manor Nursing Home in Colorado City. She was born Feb. 7, 1920, in Van Buren.
She lived in Colorado City for 25 years and was a member of First Assembly of God. She had been an assistant manager for the Salvation Army.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Pilcher, and son, Jerry Pilcher.
Survivors include three daughters, Judy Bell of Colorado City, Sheila Fox of Colorado City, Hattie Poor of Washington; four sisters, Fern Sharp of Washington, Hazel Brumitt of Tyler, Texas, June Sedgwich of Washington and Jean Mills of Washington; two brothers, Bon Temple of Washington, Dean Temple of Montana; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Beard's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville, online at www.beardsfuneralchapel.com.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
