Spectator, Ozark, AR, July 4, 1987: Elwed Barnett. Elwed Barnett, 84, of Route 3, Cecil, died Sunday, May 31, at Sparks Regional Medical Center. Born Oct. 1, 1902, at Jethro, he wasthe son of Thomas and Anna Andrews Barnett. He was a retired coal miner
and a Mason. Survivors include his wife, Prebble Yarbrough Barnett; three
daughters, Mary Langtston of Cecil, Ada Grise of Salinas, Calif, and Bunnie Woodruff of Reo Vista, Calif; two sons, Doug Barnett of Salinas, and Tom Barnett of Yuma, Ariz; one sister Chloe Tutt of San Juan Capistrano, Calif;one brother, Wayne of Carlsbad N.M.; 18 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Caulksville Presbyterian Church, with Rev. George Little officiating. Burial was in Caulksville cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons.

Spectator, Ozark, Franklin County, AR, October 3, 1991: Prebble Barnett. Prebble Jewell Barnett, 88, of Cecil, died Tuesday, October 1, 1991, at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Van Buren.
The widow of Elwed Barnett, she was a homemaker and a Southern Baptist. Mrs. Barnett was born July 4, 1903, in Shaver community (Logan County) to Joseph and Elizabeth Shaver Yarbrough. Survivors include three daughters, Ada Grice of Salinas, Calif, Bunnie Woodruff of Rio Vista, Calif, and Mary Langston of Cecil; two sons, Doug and Tommy, both of Salinas; 18 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Caulksville. Burial will be at Caulksville cemetery under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
