Obituary
Maxine Virginia Porter Yow, age 95, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007, at the Golden Living Center in Heber Springs. Born in London, Arkansas, on December 13, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Maggie (Burton) Porter.
A resident of Heber Springs since 1974, Mrs. Yow was a homemaker, and she did volunteer work for Cleburne County Cares. She was a member of the Heber Springs First General Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Yow, on February 8, 1990.
Survivors include her son, Gary Yow and his wife, Reba, of Heber Springs; her daughter, Miriam Lee and her husband, Herman, of Batesville; three grandchildren, Douglas Lee and his wife, Jan, Rhomie King and her husband, David, and Vicki Witherspoon and her husband, Thomas; and four great-grandchildren, Caitlin King, Ethan King, Stephanie Witherspoon, and Sarah Witherspoon.
