Margaret Ann Helm Twyford, 53, of Batesville died Monday, Aug. 29, 2011, at her home.
Born March 5, 1958, in Batesville, she was the daughter of J.W. "Red" and Betty Clark Helm. She was a 1976 graduate of Melbourne High School and earned an accounting degree from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. She worked for several years as a certified public accountant and was employed by Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department. She was united in marriage to John Twyford in 1983 in Las Vegas. As an adolescent and teenager, she attended Melbourne Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband; her parents of Melbourne; three uncles, Don Helm of Batesville, David Clark of Melbourne and James Clark of Springfield, Mo.; and four cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ezra and Bessie Helm and Wendell and Dona Clark.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in New Liberty Cemetery. Arrangements are by Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
Pallbearers will be William Kattner, Kenny Helm, Bruce Helm, Sam Helm, Kelby Gulley and Gavin Gulley.
Honorary pallbearers are Glen Wiles and Kenneth Sheffield.
Memorials may be made to Izard County Animal Rescue Effort, P.O. Box 1062, Melbourne, AR 72556; Humane Society of Independence County, 5 Environmental Drive, Batesville, AR 72501; Arkansas Hospice, 2233 Harrison St., Batesville, AR 72501; or the charity of choice.
