Grandmother Paula Kirkland Blakemore is among the dead in Arkansas, after a tornado hit her double-wide trailer in El Paso Sunday night.

Blakemore had four children and numerous other family members, according to her Facebook page. The owner of a drafting business, she was well-known and loved in her town, friends told Fox16.com.

“We were fortunate to know her and be part of her life when she was here,” Daniel Byrd said, adding that she was a big animal lover.

One of her beloved dogs, Boss, stayed among the ruins of her home Monday, “keeping watch over it all, but refusing to leave,” according to Fox16’s report.
