HEADLEY, Sarah A. PALMORE - Mrs. Sarah A. (Palmore) Headley was born in Champaign Co., Ill. on October 7, 1840 and died at her home in Rogers Thursday, November 3, 1921, being 81 years and 26 days old. In 1863 she, with her parents, moved from Ohio to Indiana where in May 1880 she was married to Benjamin F. Headley. Six years later the family moved to Kansas and then in 1888 to Arkansas where she lived until her death. She united with the church in Ohio when a girl of sixteen and has lived a consistent Christian life for sixty-five years. She always liked to go to church, even walking to and from the church a mile since past the age of eighty. She was especially interested in Endeavor work. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Adah Trueblood of Hiwasse and Mrs. Hazel Davis of Rogers; also two brothers, J.A. Palmore of Lincoln, Neb. and A.H. Palmore of Rogers; her husband having preceded her eight years ago. Funeral services were held in her home on East Oak street by Rev. J.W. Shockley and interment was made in the city cemetery.
