Ella Louise Ruff, 89, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009 in Stuttgart, Arkansas. Mrs. Ruff was born March 11, 1920 in Clay County, Mississippi to the late William Jasper and the late Ella Rose Autry Jasper. She was a thirty year retired bookkeeper for the Helena Water Company. She was of the Presbyterian faith and worshipped at the Cleburne Avenue Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by three grandchildren, Jenny Louise Kerr of Calhoun City, Mississippi, Todd Tipton and wife, Melanie, of Wabash, Arkansas, and Candace Corder of Horn Lake, Mississippi; seven great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Kerr, Erica Kerr, Justin Tipton, Gabrielle Mora, Wyatt Tipton, Clayton James (C.J.) Corder and Meredith Corder; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Thelma Dee of Columbus, Mississippi and Earline Ables of West Helena, Arkansas; and a brother, Guinn Cantrell of Greenwood, Mississippi.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ella Rose Jasper; a daughter, Carolyn Tipton; one sister and one brother.

Graveside services for Ella Ruff will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Roller-Citizens. Reverend Don Montgomery will officiate.
